building, built in the 1960s, houses the nursery & year 1 classes. Scope
of works included new roof coverings, the refurbishment of existing
rooflights, new internal walls, toilets, ceilings & floor finishes. The
new Children’s Centre building was built to house the new reception,
large meeting room & family room, with a new covered walkway from the
street with circular rooflights. Brick/block cavity wall construction,
with double glazed curtain wall and zinc cladding/roof coverings. eCAD
produced 3D renderings of the the new Childrens Centre building, during
the concept design stage, and went onto provide full construction
documentation for both the new building & the refurbishment of the
existing. The project was phased over 12 months, to minimize disruption
to the school, and was fully occupied in March 2009.
